The Tone:
This is a hybrid role at Loyola Press, located in the Chicago area, requiring two scheduled on-site workdays each week. Loyola Press relies on this position to support the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of its financial operations. The Staff Accountant plays an important role in ensuring the smooth functioning of day-to-day financial processes. This position contributes significantly to the financial health of the organization while working collaboratively across departments.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounts Payable: Manage the day-to-day processes for accounts payable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Accounting Operations: Perform routine accounting and general ledger activities as part of daily financial operations.
• Royalty Reporting: Maintain accurate royalty reporting records and manage the associated systems.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organization to support financial integrity.
• Project Management: Independently manage assigned responsibilities, adhere to deadlines, and complete projects.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Candidates should possess a solid foundation in accounting principles.
• Experience: A few years of accounting experience or recent graduate status is welcomed, alongside comfort working proficiently in Excel.
• Skills: Detail-orientation, dependability, the ability to solve problems, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to following tasks through to completion.
• Bonus: An interest in learning and utilizing new systems such as NetSuite is a plus.
