Staff Accountant | Archer Lewis

The Tone:

This Staff Accountant position is based within DTA Accountants, a long-standing Bellevue firm with roots dating back to 2009, which joined Archer Lewis in 2025. This role is crucial for an early-career professional to support essential accounting and tax functions across a variety of client engagements, contributing to accurate financial records, timely completion of activities, and quality service delivery within the expanding Archer Lewis network.

What You’ll Actually Do
• General Ledger & Reconciliations: Prepare and post routine journal entries to the general ledger, ensuring proper classification and accuracy. Perform thorough monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
• Financial Close & Reporting: Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures and all related accounting activities. Support the preparation of comprehensive financial statements, various reports, and supporting schedules for client review.
• Tax Compliance & Support: Assist with the preparation of individual, partnership, corporate, and other business tax returns. This includes gathering, organizing, and validating financial data and documentation required for tax compliance activities.
• Regulatory & Research Assistance: Support tax research projects and compliance initiatives under the direct guidance of senior team members. Assist with responses to tax notices, audit requests, and other regulatory inquiries as needed.
• Collaboration & Development: Collaborate effectively with Accountants and Senior Accountants on diverse client engagements and special projects. Actively participate in professional development opportunities and hands-on experience to continuously develop technical accounting and tax knowledge.
