Staff Accountant | Meduit | Driving Revenue Cycle Performance

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Meduit, with a first shift Monday – Friday schedule. Meduit is a national leader in healthcare revenue cycle management, supporting hospitals and physician practices in 48 states, focusing on optimizing payments. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of daily accounting operations, directly supporting financial reporting and transactional integrity across internal teams. The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Type: First Shift Monday – Friday
• Location: In-person
• Pay: $65000–$75000 yearly
• Team: Accounting Finance department, partnering with internal accounting, finance, and operations teams.
• Mission: Ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across financial processes through detailed transactional support and reporting.
• Tech Stack: Sage/Business Central (preferred), Microsoft Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reconcile: Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations.
• Support: Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
• Manage: Handle prepaid expenses and record monthly amortization entries.
• Maintain: Oversee fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, and depreciation.
• Resolve: Research and resolve reconciling items and account discrepancies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Experience: 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including performing bank and balance sheet account reconciliations, managing prepaid expenses, amortization, fixed assets, and journal entries.
• Skills: Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency, excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, strong attention to detail, and effective written and verbal communication.
• Bonus: Experience in a SOX-compliant or well-controlled accounting environment, documenting accounting processes or SOPs, supporting accounting system conversions or ERP implementations, public accounting experience, or being a CPA candidate.
