The client has significantly expanded through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions, requiring investment in their accounting and finance team. This position is a crucial opportunity to join a scaling business, collaborate directly with leadership, and play a key role in enhancing accounting processes while supporting ongoing expansion.

• Team: Reports to the Controller, works with the accounting team
• Mission: Support the accounting and finance team in strengthening processes and facilitating continued company expansion.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, other accounting systems

What You’ll Actually Do
• Month-End Close: Assist with month-end close procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Reconciliations: Prepare bank and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Financial Reporting: Support financial reporting and assist with variance analysis.
• Audit Preparation: Aid in annual audit preparation by providing schedules and supporting documentation.
• Process Improvement: Collaborate with the accounting team to improve processes, reporting efficiency, and assist with special projects.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with a foundational understanding of accounting principles and GAAP.
• Experience: Recent graduates and candidates with 0–3 years of accounting experience are encouraged to apply; prior experience with all aspects of the role is not required as training will be provided.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; comfortable working with technology and learning new accounting systems; ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines; strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
• Bonus: Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or other accounting systems; public accounting, construction, service industry, or percentage-of-completion experience; interest in process improvement, automation, or AI technology.
