Staff Accountant – Global Industrial | Motion

The Tone:

This role is crucial as it involves serving as a team member performing intermediate accounting analysis and reporting of financial transactions, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) across the global industrial sector.

What You’ll Actually Do
• General Ledger: Ensure the completion of journal entries and month-end close activities.
• Reconciliations: Participate in account reconciliation research and clearance processes for products issued.
• Reporting: Assist in producing and reviewing monthly and quarterly financial reports, as well as annual financial statements.
• Analysis: Perform variance analysis and analytical procedures for assigned general ledger accounts.
• Process Improvement: Drive process change and improvements within accounting operations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field. This is an early career position.
• Experience: Zero (0) to two (2) years of related experience. Experience with general ledger, inter-company accounting, and consolidated reporting is essential.
• Skills: Effective time management and prioritization skills, strong written and verbal communication abilities, demonstrated analytical capabilities, and a general understanding of finance/accounting/financial analysis and reporting, including US GAAP.
• Bonus: Strong spreadsheet skills preferred.
