Staff Accountant | Legends Global

This Staff Accountant role is crucial for maintaining the daily financial operations at the venue, performing essential accounting activities, and supporting the Accounting Manager or Finance Director in financial statement preparation, contributing directly to the operational success and financial integrity of the facility.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Account Maintenance: Maintain detailed fixed asset records and perform thorough account analysis on general ledger accounts.
• Financial Reporting Support: Assist the Accounting Manager in the meticulous preparation of financial statements for the facility.
• Reconciliation Management: Accurately reconcile Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable control accounts to their detailed aging reports, and diligently reconcile all cash receipts and disbursements.
• Ledger Operations: Execute the monthly closing of sub ledgers and precisely input journal entries into the general ledger system.
• Event Revenue Auditing: Maintain and audit box office ticket sales reports, parking sales data, and telephone deposits specifically related to events, ensuring all figures are correct and accounted for.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited four-year college or university, providing a solid foundation in financial and cost accounting principles for this early career position.
• Experience: Candidates should ideally possess some part-time or summer internship experience in a role with accounting responsibilities, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Skills: Demonstrates thorough knowledge of financial and cost accounting; exhibits excellent math skills and meticulous attention to detail; possesses effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; able to interact professionally with all levels of staff including management and clients; is detail-oriented and capable of functioning independently with minimal supervision; proficient in spreadsheets and word processing software.
• Bonus: A strong willingness to learn and adapt to new accounting and financial reporting software systems is a preferred qualification for this role.
