Staff Accountant – CAAS | CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Support: Support multiple clients, software, and chart of accounts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Financial Processing: Complete month-end and other quarterly and annual processing requirements.
• Transaction Management: Coordinate and process accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and payroll for clients.
• Month-End Reporting: Complete basic financial statements and coordinate account reconciliations, including bank, credit card, prepaids, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, and accruals.
• Compliance Filings: Complete sales tax returns, Form 1099s, and other forms or items as requested by clients for quarterly and annual processing.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required, though a combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of a degree. This role demands a foundational understanding of accounting and financial services principles.
• Experience: One to two years of experience providing accounting and financial services is preferred. Previous practical experience in a professional accounting environment will be highly beneficial.
• Skills: Demonstrated technical proficiency with QuickBooks and essential Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Bonus: Exceptions to the preferred experience level can occur based on the specific scope of work to be performed for individual clients.
