• Mission: This person will build a strong foundation in corporate accounting by contributing to month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and daily accounting operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Month-End Close: Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Journal Entries: Prepare and accurately post various journal entries.
• Reconciliations: Perform general ledger, bank, and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and internal reporting.
• Accounting Operations: Assist with accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and resolve account discrepancies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required; foundational understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles.
• Experience: 0 years of accounting experience; relevant internships are welcomed and valued.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, strong attention to detail, effective organizational skills, and clear communication abilities.
• Bonus: Previous accounting internship or related work experience, familiarity with an ERP or accounting system, and an interest in pursuing a CPA or other professional certification.
