Staff I Accountant – Consolidations, Reporting & Corporate Accounting | Tiffany & Co.

• Mission: Own a broad portfolio of recurring monthly close deliverables to ensure accurate consolidated financial results across a global structure of corporate holding entities.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel, JD Edwards, BlackLine

What You’ll Actually Do
• Corporate Close Execution: Prepare and own a diverse portfolio of recurring monthly close deliverables, spanning cash, debt, intercompany loans, royalties, and corporate holding entity entries.
• Consolidation Support: Review global balance sheet variation analyses for assigned account categories and market explanations, support close integrity by reviewing unposted batch activity, and perform global debt and investment validation monthly.
• Financial Analysis: Prepare P&L variation analyses monthly for assigned corporate holding entities and balance sheet variation analyses quarterly, providing concise variance explanations for material movements.
• Process Automation: Actively participate in the team’s process improvement and automation agenda, supporting the build-out and maintenance of automated templates for assigned tasks.
• Account Reconciliations: Prepare monthly account reconciliations and review intercompany reconciliations for all corporate holding entities, executing clean-up and netting entries as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, serving as an entry-level professional with foundational knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS accounting principles.
• Experience: Prior internship experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Excel including large data sets, reconciliations, and financial models, and the ability to quickly learn new financial systems and technology platforms.
• Bonus: Active pursuit of CPA licensure, exposure to ERP systems such as JD Edwards, or exposure to close management tools like BlackLine.
