This is a full-time role at Caesars Entertainment, located in New Orleans, LA. Caesars Entertainment is the largest casino-entertainment company in the U.S. and one of the world’s most diversified casino-entertainment providers, operating resorts under brands like Caesars®, Harrah’s®, and Horseshoe®. This Staff Accountant position is crucial for maintaining the financial integrity of the Caesars New Orleans property by ensuring accurate accounting, compliance, and timely reporting. The role supports property operations and contributes to financial efficiency and control.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Operations: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly accounting processes to properly record and classify financial transactions, and verify the accuracy of information transmitted to the financial reporting system.
• Compliance & Controls: Ensure compliance with existing and established accounting controls as well as company policies and procedures pertaining to GAAP and SOX 404.
• Audit & Reporting: Assist in all aspects of internal and external audit reviews and ensure that all accounting and financial reporting deadlines are met.
• Asset Management: Support the maintenance and recording of activity related to fixed assets and construction-in-progress activity.
• Process Improvement: Drive continuous process improvement within areas of responsibility and assist other departments with improvement projects.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Four year college graduate with a major in Accounting or equivalent, suitable for an early career professional.
• Experience: 1-2 years of accounting or related experience; fixed assets/construction accounting experience preferred.
• Skills: Understanding of SOX 404 and GAAP; proficiency in MS Excel and Access, LMS, and Infinium; strong written and oral communication skills; excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Bonus: Ability to identify changes in the business environment and make changes to control framework; familiarity with state regulations.
