Staff Accountant | Lemonade Stand Accounting
The Tone:
This is a Staff Accountant role at Lemonade Stand Accounting, located in the Atlanta Metro area on a hybrid schedule. Lemonade Stand Accounting is an accounting firm providing bookkeeping, tax, and fractional CFO services to growth-stage companies, packaging these into full-service Client Advisory Services (CAS). This role is crucial for supporting day-to-day bookkeeping, tax preparation, and client-facing financial reporting for a portfolio of growth-stage business clients, working closely with the leadership team to scale the CAS offering.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Bookkeeping: Manage full-cycle bookkeeping (AP/AR, bank and credit card reconciliations, journal entries) for a portfolio of clients.
• General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate general ledgers in QuickBooks Online.
• Tax Support: Support tax preparation workstreams and coordinate with the tax team during filing season.
• Client Communication: Communicate directly with clients to gather documents, answer questions, and explain financials.
• Process Improvement: Identify process improvements and help standardize client workflows as the firm scales.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Business or a related field.
• Experience: 1+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (public accounting or outsourced accounting firm experience a plus); or a related internship if you are a recent accounting graduate.
• Skills: Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online; Solid understanding of GAAP fundamentals and month-end close processes; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client deliverables and deadlines; A proactive, team-oriented mindset.
• Bonus: Spanish fluency; Experience in alcohol beverage, medical devices, medical practices, or restaurants; Familiarity with practice management tools or tax software like Canopy and UltraTax; Interest in advisory-level work as the firm builds out its CAS service line; Advanced education or credentials like an EA or CPA.
