Staff Accountant | RemoteHunter
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at RemoteHunter’s client, located remotely within the United States. The client operates within the electrical construction industry, providing a wide range of electrical products and UL-certified assembled equipment to electrical distributor partners. This Staff Accountant position is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting business decision-making through financial reporting and analysis, and ensuring the integrity and reliability of the organization’s accounting operations.

• Pay: $70100–$86000 yearly
• Mission: This role is responsible for maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial statements to support accurate financial reporting and strategic planning.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Account Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger and subsidiary ledger accounts.
• Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for cost control and revenue improvement.
• Forecasting Support: Assist with forecasting future financial performance using current and historical financial information.
• Audit Assistance: Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation, schedules, and explanations.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience: 2–4 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial reporting, including general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliation.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy, effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Bonus: CPA eligibility is a plus but not required.
