This is a full-time Staff Accountant role, located on-site in Melville, Long Island, NY. What You’ll Actually Do
• General Ledger Support: Assist with comprehensive day-to-day accounting operations, including the precise preparation of journal entries and providing essential general ledger support.
• Month-End Close: Actively support critical month-end close activities, which involves preparing detailed account reconciliations and developing necessary financial schedules.
• Account Reconciliation: Meticulously prepare and reconcile bank accounts, all balance sheet accounts, and various expense accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Manufacturing Transactions: Provide support for inventory tracking, assist with cost accounting functions, and manage all manufacturing-related financial transactions.
• Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of key financial reports and conduct variance analysis to provide insights into financial performance.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline, coupled with a fundamental understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and core accounting principles.
• Experience: Possess 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience; internships or co-op experience will be considered toward this requirement. This includes practical experience with accounting software.
• Skills: Demonstrate strong proficiency in Excel, exhibit a detail-oriented approach, possess excellent organizational and time-management skills, and maintain strong communication abilities with a positive, team-oriented mindset.
• Bonus: Experience with or exposure to ERP systems.
