A Staff Accountant at Breeze is fundamental to the organization, responsible for preparing and meticulously maintaining financial records. This includes accurately tracking assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and all other related financial activities. What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Close & Operations: Actively assist in the daily accounting activities and serve as a key member of the month-end close team by preparing journal entries, performing comprehensive account reconciliations, and conducting flux analysis.
• Process & Policy Development: Work closely with the accounting team to drive process improvements and contribute to the development of scalable accounting policies and procedures that support company growth.
• Audit & Compliance Support: Assist in the thorough preparation and strategic planning required for the annual financial statement audit, ensuring adherence to established financial standards.
• Business Collaboration & Project Work: Collaborate across various internal teams to provide actionable financial insights that aid optimal business decisions, and complete ad-hoc tasks and project work as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A 4-year degree with a concentration in Accounting is required. This role is suited for early career professionals with 0-3 years of overall accounting experience.
• Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential, alongside the ability to clearly understand and articulate complex data and financial results. Candidates must possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational capabilities, and effective time management skills to complete projects on time, even when varied hours are necessary to meet deadlines. Authorization to work in the US, as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986, is also required.
• Skills: An energetic and positive attitude with a hands-on mentality is crucial for success. Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration, alongside strong problem-solving abilities. The capacity to work effectively with individuals and teams at all levels within the organization is also key.
• Bonus: Preferred qualifications include exposure to fixed assets and inventory accounting practices, as well as experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics.
