Staff Accountant | CFS

The Tone:
This is a Staff Accountant position at CFS, located in Rochester, IN. CFS is a stable and expanding organization known for its strong track record of success. • Mission: This person supports the financial and operational teams by accurately processing accounts payable, assisting with general accounting and accounts receivable, and contributing to inventory tracking and reconciliation efforts, thereby helping maintain accurate financial records for a growing company.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Process: Accurately and efficiently process accounts payable invoices.
• Support: Assist with accounts receivable and general accounting functions, contributing to the overall financial health.
• Manage: Support inventory tracking and reconciliation efforts, working closely with receiving teams to verify incoming materials and documentation.
• Maintain: Reconcile various accounts and maintain accurate financial records, including developing and updating spreadsheets and reporting tools using Excel.
• Contribute: Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, support audits and financial reporting needs, and perform general administrative and office support duties as required.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Candidates with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field are preferred, though this is not a strict requirement.
• Experience: Recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply. Prior accounting, bookkeeping, administrative, or general office experience is considered a valuable asset.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, excellent attention to detail, and robust organizational abilities are essential.
• Bonus: Strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines, and a dependable, professional, and eager-to-learn attitude are highly valued.
