Kessler Corporation (KESS) is a leading and innovative toy company committed to bringing joy and unique play patterns to the market. We design and manufacture a diverse range of high-quality Spring Summer toys, Puzzles, Games, and Game Accessories that inspire imagination and gives a sense of nostalgia. This Staff Accountant position is critical for the smooth operation of our financial organization. You will be responsible for meticulously managing company credit card charges, processing reimbursements, overseeing expense reconciliation, generating reports for royalties and commissions, and ensuring robust budget management. Your work will directly support financial compliance and contribute to the company’s overall financial health and strategic planning.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Credit Card & Reimbursement Management: Develop and implement efficient processes for tracking and recording all company credit card transactions, monitoring activity to ensure strict adherence to company policies and guidelines, and coordinating the entire reimbursement process by verifying receipts and ensuring timely payouts to employees.
• Comprehensive Expense Reconciliation: Conduct thorough reviews to identify and categorize receipts associated with all company expenses, reconciling records between Expensify and QuickBooks to ensure complete accuracy and consistency, and promptly investigating and resolving any discrepancies or issues that arise.
• Royalty and Commission Reporting: Analyze complex royalty and commission contracts to ensure full compliance with their specific terms and conditions, collaborate with various cross-functional teams to gather all necessary data required for accurate calculations, and generate detailed reports summarizing these payments for management review.
• Budget Development and Monitoring: Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to establish comprehensive budgets for key operational areas such as trade shows, conventions, and office supplies, continuously monitoring budget performance, proactively identifying any deviations, and recommending effective corrective actions as needed to maintain financial targets.
• Financial Forecasting Support: Assist in the critical process of forecasting future expenses across various departments, providing vital support in informing and enabling the company’s long-term financial planning initiatives and strategic decision-making.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field, suitable for an early career professional.
• Experience: Previous experience in accounting or finance roles is preferred; proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks and expense management tools such as Expensify is required.
• Skills: Strong analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills, and effective written and verbal communication.
• Bonus: Experience in consumer goods, working with mass merchants, and familiarity with budgeting processes and financial reporting standards.
