Staff Accountant | Specialized Dental Partners
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Specialized Dental Partners, located in Franklin, TN. Specialized Dental Partners is one of the nation’s leading dental support organizations for Endodontic, Periodontic, and Oral Surgery practices, boasting over 250 practice locations and more than 430 doctors across the United States. This role is essential for ensuring the accurate and timely management of daily accounting activities and contributing to the month-end close process. The Staff Accountant’s work directly supports business operations and provides crucial financial insights to the finance and operations teams.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Perform: Execute core accounting functions including general ledger entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and basic financial reporting.
• Assist: Support the accounting team with day-to-day operations, month-end close processes, bank reconciliations, and fixed asset tracking.
• Analyze: Conduct basic data analysis to report recent and historical financial performance, regularly comparing business outcomes against prior period actuals and budget.
• Support: Provide ad hoc analyses for the finance or operations teams as requested by the divisional senior and manager.
• Maintain: Preserve thorough and accurate financial files and documentation in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience: Entry-level experience in accounting with a focus on general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Familiarity with General Ledger (GL) /Accounting software.
• Skills: Strong problem-solving, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple projects under strict deadlines.
• Bonus: Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, proficiency with standard office software applications (Outlook, Microsoft Office), and experience with Sage Intacct.
