Staff Accountant | CFS
The Tone:
This is a full-time, fully onsite role at CFS, located in Holland, MI. CFS is a well-established company within the food and beverage industry, where your accounting skills will be vital. This position is crucial for supporting critical financial operations by ensuring smooth day-to-day accounting, working with reconciliations, financial data, and ERP systems, and contributing to process improvement initiatives. You will play an important part on a collaborative accounting team, making an impact through your attention to detail and commitment to efficiency in financial operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Processing: Download, manipulate, and prepare financial data from multiple systems for upload into NetSuite.
• Financial Imports: Import financial information from various platforms and contribute to automation initiatives for these processes.
• Reconciliations: Complete daily bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Payment Processing: Prepare weekly ACH collections based on customer due dates and execute weekly ACH payment runs for approval.
• Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate financial records and support the accounting team with additional projects as needed.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career professional with 1-2+ years of dedicated reconciliation experience and a solid understanding of debits and credits.
• Experience: Proven experience working within an ERP system.
• Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, strong attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
• Bonus: Experience with NetSuite, experience using AI tools to improve efficiency or automate processes, or an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
