What You’ll Actually Do
• Entries: Record daily accounting and booking entries, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately captured and categorized within the accounting system to maintain up-to-date records.
• Month-End: Prepare comprehensive month-end journal entries, including accruals and deferrals, and process payroll entries, all critical steps for closing accounting periods and reporting.
• Reconciliations: Complete thorough monthly bank statement reconciliations, meticulously comparing company records to bank statements to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy of cash balances.
• Reporting: Assist with general accounting and financial reporting tasks, contributing to the preparation of financial statements and other reports that inform business decisions.
• Collaboration: Work directly with the CFO on various accounting needs, providing support and insights that contribute to strategic financial planning and operational improvements.
