Staff Accountant | Legends Global
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Legends Global, located in Houston, Texas. Legends Global is a leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, specifically operating Reliant Park with its four major venues. This position is vital for managing financial matters, ensuring accurate accounting for events, and maintaining strong client relationships within a premier facility. The Staff Accountant contributes to the financial health and operational efficiency of Reliant Park, which includes a convention center, stadium, Astrodome, and arena.

• Team: Works under general supervision, closely with Sales, Event Services, and Operations, and acts as a liaison between the facility and clients.
• Mission: Manages financial matters including accounts receivable and payable, general ledger, auditing, box office, exhibitor services, and event settlements for Reliant Park.
• Tech Stack: MS Office 365 (Excel, Word), accounting software (preferred), MS D365 (plus), Boomer Software (plus), ABI timeclock system (plus).
What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare: Event settlements in close collaboration with Sales, Event Services, and Operations teams.
• Generate: Event flash reports essential for internal reporting and journal entry posting purposes.
• Record: Daily cash reports and ticket collection reports by preparing and accurately inputting entries.
• Support: The comprehensive monthly close process, including account reconciliations, detailed analysis, and preparation of journal entries.
• Assist: With accounts payable batch entry reviews, maintaining internal audit controls, and participating in external and exhibitor services event audits.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in accounting or finance. Knowledge and application of standard accounting principles, financial control procedures, computerized accounting systems/software, and financial management are required.
• Experience: Zero (0) to three (3) years of related experience and/or training, with a preference for experience in the sports and entertainment industry.
• Skills: Strong computer proficiency including MS Office 365 Excel and Word, good written and verbal communication skills, and excellent customer service abilities. Must be able to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines, work independently, and produce accurate results under pressure.
• Bonus: Experience with a general accounting software package, specifically MS D365 or Boomer Software, and familiarity with ABI timeclock systems.
