• Mission: Lead the origination and execution of complex M&A transactions, cultivate client relationships, and drive new business opportunities.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Origination & Execution: Support the origination and lead the execution of complex M&A Advisory transactions.
• Deal Management: Manage the day-to-day processes of deals, ensuring that all milestones are met and timelines are adhered to.
• Financial & Client Material Oversight: Oversee the development and maintain quality control of all financial models and client-facing materials.
• Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients specifically on matters related to deal execution.
• Business Development: Identify and actively cultivate new business opportunities in collaboration with senior bankers.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or an equivalent degree, with experience as an M&A Investment Banker or Coverage IB team member in an M&A capacity for a bulge bracket or leading boutique advisory firm.
• Experience: 6+ years in Corporate Finance as an M&A Banker or Coverage Banker with significant M&A experience, including proven transaction execution experience in investment banking, and experience with both sell-side and buy-side merger and acquisition processes.
• Skills: Strong leadership, client relationship management, and negotiation skills; advanced technical and strategic advisory capabilities; ability to work well under pressure, meet tight deadlines, synthesize large amounts of information, and develop innovative solutions; ability to manage projects independently; and the aptitude to assess and mitigate reputational, operational, and credit risk.
• Bonus: A Master’s Degree/MBA is preferred, along with SIE, 79, and 63 certifications.
