About the Job: SQE Graduate Intern at MKS Global Supply Chain
MKS is seeking an SQE Graduate Intern to join their Global Supply Chain team for a 12-week summer internship program. This role offers a comprehensive and engaging experience for advanced degree students, focusing on improving supplier quality performance and processes through data analytics and process development.
A Day In Your Life At MKS
- Partner with other Supplier Quality representatives and relevant supply chain representatives.
- Improve process and data analytics in terms of supplier quality performance and processes.
- Report to the Director of Supplier Performance or delegate(s).
Graduate Student Program Overview
This is a 12-week summer internship program specifically designed for students enrolled in Master’s or PhD programs. The program offers:
- Intern-specific onboarding and orientation experience.
- Meaningful work and project assignments.
- Networking opportunities with peers and executives.
- Exposure to different divisions of the business.
- Understanding of MKS’ commitment to culture & belonging.
You Will Make An Impact By
- Working with relevant SQE (Supplier Quality Engineer) to develop efficient reporting and processes for executing supplier quality activities through process and data analytics.
- Assisting assigned SQE to drive improvement with applicable suppliers.
- Assisting the Supplier Quality & Purchasing teams in the management of supplier non-conformities and driving resolution.
- Monitoring and publishing key supplier quality metrics to improve visibility.
Skills You Bring (Required Qualifications)
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s program for Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or relevant majors.
- Expected graduation date between December 2026 – May 2027.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Practical experience with data analytic software (e.g., Power BI, Spotfire).
- Must be a US person (U.S. citizens, noncitizen nationals, lawful permanent residents, individuals granted asylum, and individuals admitted as refugees) due to ITAR/EAR regulations.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle or SAP).
- Previous direct or indirect exposure to a manufacturing environment.
- Some exposure to Quality Management and tools.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
- Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods.
- Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination.
- Must be able to communicate information and ideas effectively.
- Must be able to exchange accurate information.
- Ability to observe documents and details at close range.
- Operates in a professional office environment.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually average.
Compensation And Benefits
- Hourly Pay: $29.00 to $33.00 per hour. This range is an estimate based on various factors.
- Benefits: MKS offers a benefits package for interns/co-ops working at least 20 hours per week, including:
- 11 paid holidays.
- Sick time.
- 15 paid vacation days (accrued biweekly).
