This hands-on internship program offers real-world accounting experience before graduation. The role is crucial for students seeking to work alongside seasoned professionals, navigate industry norms, and gain insights similar to those of first-year associates in public accounting.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Full-time (40+ hours/week)
• Team: Corporate Audit Intern or Domestic Tax Intern, working with Principals, Managers, Associates, and other interns.
• Mission: Gain real-world accounting experience and explore a career in public accounting by working alongside seasoned professionals on client engagements.
• Tech Stack: Audit software programs, tax software programs

What You’ll Actually Do
• Engage with client teams: Participate in audit, review, and compilation engagements or assist with various tax return preparations for diverse clients in industries like manufacturing, construction, and non-profit.
• Analyze financial data: Compile, analyze, and test financial information for audits or conduct tax research and projections using provided client data.
• Prepare professional documents: Draft and review financial statements for audit clients or assist in the preparation of corporate, individual, personal property, partnerships, C-Corp, and S-Corp tax returns.
• Develop industry expertise: Gain hands-on experience with audit or tax software programs and develop an understanding of specific audit or tax procedures during an initial training program.
• Collaborate with seasoned professionals: Work closely with Principals, Managers, and Associates, receiving mentorship and guidance throughout multiple client engagements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting; Entry-Level career status.
• Experience: Completion of at least one intermediate accounting course by Spring 2027 is preferred; Work experience (related or unrelated to accounting) is preferred; 3.0 GPA (cumulative and in accounting major).
• Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills; Proven time management skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities; Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to take initiative.
