Sports Events & Partnerships Intern (Project Management Focus) | Beyond the Game Health

The Tone:
This is an unpaid internship at Beyond the Game Health, located remotely. Beyond the Game Health is a sports-driven health equity organization that partners with NFL Alumni, NBA All-Star, NCAA, WNBA, and major community stakeholders to create high-impact youth sports clinics, health fairs, athlete engagement experiences, and wellness activations nationwide. This role is crucial for supporting athlete-driven activations, youth camps, health vendor outreach, and partner coordination for events taking place around major sporting moments, directly contributing to community wellness and social impact.

• Team: Reports to CEO & Partnerships Team
• Mission: This intern supports the execution of athlete-driven health equity events and manages key partnerships to expand community impact.
• Tech Stack: Google Workspace, Canva, project tools

What You’ll Actually Do
• Event Coordination: Assist in planning and coordinating youth sports camps, flag football clinics, health fairs, and various community events.
• Project Logistics: Organize and maintain project timelines, run-of-show documents, and event logistics, supporting internal cross-team coordination.
• Athlete & Vendor Management: Help prepare itineraries, appearance schedules, and activation plans for NFL/NBA athletes, and communicate with health vendors and community partners.
• Partnership Support: Research potential partners, brands, and organizations, assist in outreach prep, manage CRM entries, and track partner deliverables.
• Creative & Administrative: Assist with basic Canva designs, event decks, join weekly virtual meetings, capture notes, and support team communication streams.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Strong interest in sports events, athlete engagement, health/wellness, or project management.
• Experience: No specific years required. Practical experience supporting events or projects is beneficial, but not mandatory.
• Skills: Organized, detail-oriented, strong communication skills, ability to work remotely with a distributed team, proactive, reliable, and excited to learn.
• Bonus: Familiarity with Google Workspace, Canva, or project tools.
