This is an Active Duty role with the US Army, offering a unique path to join the elite Special Forces. The US Army is committed to developing highly skilled soldiers who uphold national security and excel in diverse operational environments. This position is crucial for individuals aspiring to become Green Berets, requiring an unwavering commitment to extensive mental and physical training to become one of the world’s most capable soldiers. Successful candidates may also be eligible for bonuses up to $34,000.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Intensive Preparation: Engage in extensive mental and physical training designed to transform candidates into highly skilled Green Berets, recognized as some of the most capable Soldiers globally.
• Core Training Completion: Successfully complete the rigorous 22 weeks of Infantry One Station Unit Training, followed by Airborne School.
• Special Operations Assessment: Participate in the 4-week Special Operations Forces Preparation Course and the Special Forces Assessment & Selection Course to evaluate suitability for elite operations.
• Skill Mastery: Develop and master essential Special Forces skills, including advanced evasion techniques, unparalleled physical and mental resilience, and comprehensive weapons operations.
• Specialty Assignment: Have your specific Special Forces Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) determined, chosen from one of four entry-level options, based on your individual background, aptitude, and the critical needs of the US Army.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Must be a U.S. citizen and hold a High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: Be 18 years old by your ship date and not have turned 32 prior to your departure for training. Candidates must also meet all specific Tattoo Guidelines, have no Major Law Violations, and be free of any Medical Concerns that would hinder service.
• Skills: Achieve a minimum score of 110 in the General Technical (GT) section and a minimum score of 100 in the Combat (CO) section of the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test.
• Bonus: Lawful Permanent Residents (those with a valid I-551 Permanent Resident Card for at least six months) are offered a path to citizenship and expedited naturalization while beginning training for Special Forces candidacy.
