Job Description:

Job Title: Songwriters Lab Internship

Type: Part-time, casual role, eligible for sick leave accrual.

Pay: $22 per hour.

Summary:

The Songwriters Lab Internship provides work within the process of a major Seattle Theatre Group program. The intern will be a part of every aspect of the weeklong Lab from start to finish, including check-ins, set up, and administrative duties. This is a unique opportunity to interact with songwriting professionals and emerging artists.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Distribute printed and online materials.
• Work with team on administrative needs for the project.
• Run Check-in for each day of the program.
• Help with group assembly and artist wrangling.
• Provide hospitality set up and clean up.
• Assist in keeping the program on time, running smoothly, and organized.
• During final share, function as additional crew.
• Act as program runner and on-call personnel.

• TBD Orientation Meeting
• July 7-11: 3 Hours TBD this week for Lab Prep
• July 14: 9am-6pm – The Moore Theatre
• July 15: 9am-6pm – The Moore Theatre
• July 16: 9am-6pm – The Moore Theatre
• July 17: 9am-6pm – The Moore Theatre
• July 18: 9am-6pm – The Moore Theatre
• July 19: 12:30pm-6pm – Final Share Day – The Moore Theatre
• July 21-25: 2 Hours TBD this week to wrap

Qualifications:

• College or graduate student, 18 years or older.
• Interest in Stage Management, music, sound design, or other areas of performing arts.
• Applicant must be mature and energetic.
• Dedication to racial equity and social justice work in the arts.
• Works well under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experienced in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Receptive to ongoing feedback and provide meaningful feedback to Assoc. Dir of Community Programs with the goal of improving our programs
• First Aid/CPR Trained (if not certified – STG will arrange training)

Bonus: Ability to speak different languages welcomed.

STG management is continually assessing the changing guidelines, artist contracts, and local government updates. We reserve the right to require health and safety protocols for all performances. We will proactively communicate any change in health protocols with advance notice.
