Solutions Specialist – Tyler West Office, Tyler, TX

As a Solutions Specialist, you will be responsible for understanding and promoting our comprehensive suite of financial products and services, assisting members with their diverse banking needs, and ensuring a superior customer journey. This position demands strong problem-solving capabilities, a solid foundation in financial expertise, and an unwavering commitment to a member-first approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for members, providing expert guidance and personalized recommendations on a wide array of financial products and services.
  • Proactively analyze member financial needs and recommend suitable solutions, including but not limited to loans, savings accounts, credit cards, and various investment options.
  • Assist members comprehensively with loan applications across multiple channels (phone, fax, internet, in-person), account openings/closings, and the utilization of digital banking tools and e-services products (e.g., mobile deposit, bill pay, online banking, online account opening).
  • Provide hands-on assistance to members in effectively using self-service technology, such as kiosks, ATMs, and Sam-e / iTMs.
  • Offer professional Notary services to members as required.
  • Stay continuously informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and new credit union offerings to provide up-to-date and relevant information.
  • Actively educate members on financial literacy principles, empowering them to make informed and confident decisions regarding their personal finances.

Qualifications

Required

  • Education: High school diploma (or equivalent).
  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in banking, financial services, or retail.

Preferred

  • Education: An associate’s degree in business or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of credit union products, lending processes, and digital banking tools.
  • Attributes: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a genuine passion for helping people.

Availability

  • This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
  • Typical work hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Some opening and closing shifts may be required on a rotational basis.
  • Flexibility within these hours is necessary as needed to meet operational demands.

Pay and Benefits

  • Compensation: Competitive starting rate of $19.38+ per hour, with participation in a monthly incentive plan.
  • Language Premium: A $1.00 per hour pay premium is awarded to employees who are bilingual in Spanish or Hmong after successfully completing and passing the language exam.
