Finance & Accounting Internship Program – Spring 2027 | Medpace

The Tone:
This is a paid, in-person internship at Medpace, located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Medpace is a full-service clinical contract research organization (CRO) providing clinical development services to the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical device industries, employing over 6,500 people globally. This program offers hands-on finance and accounting experience, providing interns an opportunity to make a real impact on business objectives. Interns will gain meaningful work experience and targeted educational opportunities to develop as future leaders in financial concepts, critical thinking, and business acumen.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Analysis: Play an integral role in valuation, analysis, and forecasting processes, providing explanations for significant trends and contributing to financial results presentations.
• Reporting Development: Contribute to developing and maintaining standardized best practices for financial results reporting and analysis, including management reporting and analytical tools.
• Performance Understanding: Integrate data from various groups to construct an overall understanding of performance that delivers meaningful information.
• System Maintenance: Maintain financial models and systems driving the budgeting and reporting process, and support enhancements to these systems.
• Cross-functional Partnership: Partner with various Operational and Support departments to assess financial performance and develop forecasts and budgets.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.
• Experience: Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
• Skills: Excellent analytical skills; strong written and verbal communication; highly organized, possessing high attention to detail and deadline orientation; ability to establish and maintain good relationships with all levels of management; team player with the ability to work independently if needed.
