Job Description: Software Engineering Summer Internship (Summer 2025)
Cisco Norway is seeking Software Engineering Summer Interns for the summer of 2025. Interns will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects alongside existing teams, contributing meaningfully to Cisco’s products and services.
Project Focus: The specific project will depend on the intern’s field of interest and Cisco’s current needs. There is even the potential to pursue an intern’s own innovative ideas. Past projects have included:
• Real-time multi-head pose detection
• Improving the microphone beam selector using deep learning
• Office room analytics application based on live and historical sensor data
• Noise reduction with deep learning
• Synchronous camera focusing for immersive systems
• Showing personal calendars in meeting rooms based on face recognition
• Using Falco on Kubernetes for threat detection
• Implementing and accelerating a Head Detection model in an FPGA camera
Responsibilities: Interns will explore various technologies, collaborate effectively within a team, and contribute to impactful projects.
Qualifications: While a strong track record is valuable, Cisco prioritizes commitment, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. Successful candidates will be team players with a genuine interest in technology and a desire for professional growth. Specific requirements include:
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Practical engineering experience (e.g., programming, testing, signal processing, network protocols, cloud technology).
• A genuine interest in technology and a strong willingness to learn.
• Ability to live and work in Norway.
