Team Introduction

ByteDance’s Edge platform is a Kubernetes-based distributed system that manages hundreds of Points of Presence (PoPs) globally. As a Software Engineer Intern on this team, you will contribute to building this crucial cloud-native platform. Your work will focus on managing the entire lifecycle (creation, deployment, CI/CD, etc.) and traffic flow (ingress, proxy, DNS, traffic scheduling, etc.) for edge services across our globally distributed PoPs. Additionally, you will help develop and enhance essential management tools (monitoring, alerting, logging, etc.) for these services.
