Software Development Engineer in Test (SDE-T) Internship

Do you want to write secure, stable, testable and maintainable code, as well as test it? Do you enjoy working on automation frameworks in a team environment?

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with experienced Amazonians: Use technology to validate and verify software.
Innovate and develop solutions: Help lead fundamental changes in the industry.
Build automation frameworks: Enable QA Engineers to automate tests.
Troubleshoot and resolve defects: Identify and fix bugs.
Create and manage bug reports: Communicate with the team effectively.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

Experience with at least one modern language: Java, Python, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.
18 years of age or older.
Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree or above: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
Expected graduation date between October 2025 – September 2028.
Able to work 40 hours/week minimum and commit to 12 week internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience from a technical internship.
• Experience in optimization mathematics such as linear programming and nonlinear optimization.
• Experience with distributed, multi-tiered systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
• Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
• Adept at handling ambiguous or undefined problems.
• Ability to think abstractly.

Location and Start Date:

• Internships are available in various locations across the United States, including: Greater Seattle Area, Greater Bay Area, Greater DMV, Austin, New York City, and Minneapolis.
• You can provide your preferred location and start date during the application process.
• Finalization of location and start date will be provided at the time of job offer.

Compensation:

• The base pay for this position ranges from $47.84/hr to $96.15/hr, depending on location and experience.
• Amazon is a total compensation company. Equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided.
