Social Media Intern – Summer 2026 | Elevance Health

This is an internship at Elevance Health, located in Atlanta, GA; Indianapolis, IN; or Chicago, IL. This role is crucial for supporting the social media, PR, and marketing teams to enhance brand engagement and manage the company’s reputation across social media platforms. The intern’s contributions will directly help promote the brand and protect its standing in the healthcare industry.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Campaign Management: Develop, implement, and manage organic and paid social media campaigns and strategies that align with business goals to promote the brand and protect its reputation.
• Performance Tracking: Track, analyze, and report social media key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate campaign effectiveness.
• Market Research: Perform social media marketing research to identify trends and opportunities.
• Influencer Strategy: Assist in the development of influencer campaign strategies.
• Competitive Analysis: Conduct competitive analysis and identify emerging best practices in social media.
• Innovation Exploration: Explore innovative cross-industry social media practices with the potential to be piloted.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field at an accredited college/university. This is an Early Career internship role.
• Experience: Ability to work 40 hours per week for the 12-week duration of the internship (May 18th, 2026 – July 24th, 2026) and work in-office at least once per week.
• Skills: Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills; knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics; able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously; proficient in using social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
• Bonus: Previous experience in social media management is preferred.
