Position Summary: Sleep Center Sales Specialist 1

As a Sleep Center Sales Specialist 1 at Living Spaces, your core mission is to embody and meticulously execute the Living Spaces Guest Engagement Model. Throughout this process, maintaining the paramount level of guest satisfaction, as rigorously measured by our comprehensive guest surveys, is essential to your success and the success of the team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Sleep Center Sales Specialist 1 is responsible for a dynamic range of activities, focusing on sales proficiency, guest satisfaction, and operational excellence. Key responsibilities include:

  • Continuous Training & Development: Maintain an unwavering focus on enhancing sales proficiency through ongoing training and development, ensuring a deep understanding of our products and sales processes.
  • Sales Execution Excellence: Successfully complete all required training modules and demonstrate the ability to effectively execute sales strategies and processes to meet or exceed company expectations.
  • Guest Engagement Model Mastery: Drive proficiency in the Living Spaces Guest Engagement Model, understanding how each behavior within the model connects to positive sales outcomes and guest satisfaction.
  • Performance Analysis & Improvement: Proactively self-assess daily sales results and collaborate with store leadership to refine behavioral expectations, constantly striving for improvement.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop a monthly proficiency plan utilizing end-of-month sales reporting tools, conducting a thorough self-assessment of personal strengths and identifying areas for growth.
  • Merchandising & Visual Standards: Support and execute style guide directives, overseeing all aspects of merchandising, visual presentation, and product labeling within the sleep center to ensure an appealing and effective sales environment.
  • Operational Task Completion: Ensure daily task lists, critical for store operations and guest readiness, are completed accurately and efficiently by store teams.
  • Inventory Accuracy: Maintain meticulous inventory accuracy in strict adherence to company asset protection standards and procedures, minimizing discrepancies.
  • Collaborative Culture Building: Actively contribute to building a positive store culture that champions guest delight, teamwork, and the achievement of collective revenue targets.
  • Tool Utilization: Proficiently utilize all company-provided tools, systems, and technologies to company standards, streamlining sales and operational processes.
  • Seamless Transaction Management: Ensure the check-out/in processes are executed flawlessly, providing a smooth and efficient experience for every guest.
  • Flexible Availability: Demonstrate the ability to work weekends and most holidays, accommodating the peak retail periods.
  • Dynamic Work Environment: Thrive and excel in a fast-paced retail environment, adapting quickly to changing demands and priorities.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience:
    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
    • A minimum of 1 year of consultative retail sales experience is preferred, with a strong emphasis on mattress sales in a direct customer interactive environment.
    • Experience in a high-volume retail setting is highly valued.
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be thoughtfully considered.
  • Computer Skills:
    • To successfully perform the duties of this role, proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential.

Position Hiring Range & Compensation

The hiring pay range provided below represents a good faith estimate of the hourly wage that Living Spaces anticipates paying for this position upon hire. Actual compensation will be determined by a comprehensive assessment of various factors, including, but not limited to: the applicant’s educational background, relevant work experience, specialized knowledge, applicable skills and abilities, current market demand, the company’s budget, and internal equity in alignment with geographic market data. Living Spaces reserves the right to adjust this range at any time.

Compensation: $16.50 – $21.45 per hour

Additional compensation benefits include:

  • Overtime Pay: Available for eligible, non-exempt Team Members in accordance with applicable labor laws and company policy.
  • Expense Reimbursement: Provided for business-related expenses as required by applicable law and company policy.
  • Team Bonus Eligibility: Retail, Guest Services, and Distribution Center Team Members are eligible to receive a team bonus based on the successful achievement of specific company goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
