This is an in-person role at Five Guys, a restaurant known for its dedication to quality burgers and fries. Shift Leaders are essential hands-on leaders who guide the team through daily operations. They set the tone for every shift, ensuring every guest walks out impressed. This role is crucial for maintaining the restaurant’s standards and fostering a positive team culture.

The TL;DR
• Role: Shift Lead
• Location: In-person
• Pay: $20.50–$22.00 hourly
• Team: Works under management, supervises crew members.
• Mission: Ensures smooth restaurant operations and an excellent guest experience during shifts.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations: Lead daily shifts and manage restaurant operations when management is not on site.
• Service: Deliver fast, accurate service and create a consistently great guest experience.
• Team Leadership: Coach, support, motivate, and help train crew members to build a strong culture.
• Standards: Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards.
• Task Management: Oversee essential shift tasks, including breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This role requires a leader who excels in a customer-facing, team environment.
• Experience: 1–2 years of experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality; leadership experience is preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, basic math proficiency, and comfort using POS systems.
• Bonus: Food safety certification (such as ServSafe) is preferred.
