Guest Services Representative (PT) | Hotel Equities

The Guest Services Representative ensures a professional and courteous experience, providing accurate information and resolving inquiries to make every guest feel welcome and reassured during their stay.

• Mission: This role is responsible for providing a welcoming and efficient experience for guests from arrival to departure, ensuring all inquiries and needs are addressed promptly and professionally.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Guest Reception: Greet and register guests upon arrival, verify reservation and credit information, promote preferred guest programs, and process payments accurately.
• Guest Support: Promptly respond to and resolve guest complaints, answer telephone inquiries politely, and handle messages, wake-up calls, mail, and faxes properly.
• Financial Operations: Accept payments for accounts, maintain a house bank, make daily deposits and reports, cash checks, exchange currency, and ensure all customers establish credit upon check-in.
• Hotel & Local Expertise: Provide knowledgeable and helpful information about the hotel, its services, and local area attractions, assisting guests with luggage, shuttle service, and laundry needs.
• Revenue Generation: Actively seek opportunities to sell rooms, including upgrades, promote hotel amenities and pantry items, and have a full understanding of franchise loyalty programs to increase revenues.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. High School diploma or equivalent. Core domain knowledge in hospitality guest services.
• Experience: Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt processes and standards.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, basic computational ability, basic computer skills, cash handling, and credit verification.
• Bonus: Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and/or holidays. Enthusiasm, helpfulness, and a positive approach as a team member.
