What You’ll Actually Do
• Team Leadership: Recruit, hire, and motivate qualified service technicians while assisting them in developing their skills.
• Quality Control: Maintain high-quality service repairs, minimize comebacks, and conduct spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness.
• Performance Management: Manage department performance using tools like the daily operating control and monitor technicians’ daily productivity.
• Customer Satisfaction: Establish and maintain customer follow-up programs to confirm satisfaction with the service experience and handle complaints promptly.
• Compliance & Training: Understand and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, manufacturer warranty procedures, and appropriate technician training.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager-level professional with two to four years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience: Proven ability to manage service operations, oversee technician performance and development, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and warranty procedures.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interpret documents, write reports, and present information effectively; advanced problem-solving, analytical, and mathematical abilities; Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications; State Emission Certification; State Vehicle Inspector Certification; Valid Driver’s License.
• Bonus: CDL license to road test trucks, with a grace period of up to 6 months to obtain if not currently held.
