Director – Business Development (International Funds) | IQ-EQ
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at IQ-EQ, located in a hybrid, U.S. setting. The position drives revenue growth by upselling and cross-selling services, strengthening relationships with PE, RE, Debt, and Hedge fund clients, building and maintaining professional networks, ensuring compliance, and fostering team knowledge, ultimately expanding market engagement and achieving defined sales targets for European service capabilities.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategic Development: Contribute to shaping the European fund services offering, go-to-market strategy, and comprehensive sales plan specifically tailored for U.S. fund managers.
• Revenue Generation: Develop, deliver, and continuously monitor robust sales plans, actively driving new business opportunities and achieving defined revenue growth targets through upselling and cross-selling services to PE, RE, Debt, and Hedge fund clients.
• Network Cultivation: Build and maintain extensive professional feeder networks, particularly focusing on U.S.-based connections with strong European links, to strategically expand the company’s market reach.
• Expert Consultation: Serve as a primary subject matter expert on complex European fund and regulatory matters, guiding U.S. clients and internal sales directors, and accompanying them to crucial pitches and meetings.
• Operational Oversight: Foster a collaborative team environment that enhances knowledge of IQ-EQ’s European service capabilities and ensures full compliance with relevant laws and regulations pertaining to the European fund services offering.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Senior-level professional with expert knowledge of European fund domiciles, structures, and regulatory frameworks, particularly AIFMD, and a deep understanding of PE, RE, Debt, and Hedge fund environments.
• Experience: At least 5 years of senior experience in the Alternatives sector.
• Skills: Strong sales and negotiation skills, excellent communication, IT, budgeting, and reporting skills, and fluency in English.
