• Team: Platform Services team
• Mission: This person will design, develop, and maintain critical backend systems and infrastructure, leveraging expertise in scalable, resilient, and high-performance distributed systems.

What You’ll Actually Do
• System Design: Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex, scalable, and highly available backend services and APIs using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and other engineering teams to define technical requirements, scope projects, and deliver high-quality solutions on time.
• Technical Leadership: Drive technical excellence, advocating for code quality, testing, monitoring, and operational readiness best practices.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance and scalability bottlenecks, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of the platform.
• Mentorship & Support: Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, contribute to knowledge sharing, and participate in on-call rotations to support production systems.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience; strong focus on backend systems, distributed architectures, and microservices.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with proven expertise in at least one modern programming language such as Go, Java, Python, or C#, and extensive experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Skills: Solid understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs or gRPC, and demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Bonus: Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, experience with event-driven architectures and message queues, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, or experience with monitoring and logging tools.
