About the Role

We are seeking an exceptionally talented and highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic Platform Services team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining critical backend systems and infrastructure that power our core products. You will leverage your expertise in scalable, resilient, and high-performance distributed systems to build the next generation of our platform, directly influencing our technical direction and product innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex, scalable, and highly available backend services and APIs using modern programming languages (e.g., Go, Java, Python) and frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and other engineering teams to define technical requirements, scope projects, and deliver high-quality solutions on time.
• Drive technical excellence, advocating for best practices in code quality, testing, monitoring, and operational readiness.
• Identify and resolve performance and scalability bottlenecks, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our platform.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support production systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure rapid resolution.
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
• Research and evaluate new technologies, tools, and approaches to improve our platform’s capabilities and maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on backend systems, distributed architectures, and microservices.
• Proven expertise in at least one modern programming language such as Go, Java, Python, or C#.
• Extensive experience with relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, including experience with services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, Kubernetes, Docker.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs, gRPC, or other inter-service communication protocols.
• Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Active contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of personal projects.
