DevOps Tech Lead | Wix

The Tone:
This is a full-time, in-person role at Wix, located in Tel Aviv. As part of the Internal Platform Engineering (IPE) team, you will contribute to building and scaling high-performance cloud infrastructure. This role is crucial for integrating advanced security, ensuring system resilience, and automating critical processes across our engineering culture. You will also be at the forefront of adopting cutting-edge AI-driven tools to enhance our operational capabilities.

• Mission: Lead the technical vision and execution of high-scale cloud infrastructure, integrating security, resilience, and automation, while pioneering the adoption of AI-driven tools within Wix’s Internal Platform Engineering team.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead Team: Lead, mentor, and develop the technical skills of the DevSecOps team.
• Collaborate & Design: Collaborate with Product and R&D teams to design scalable and secure distributed systems, evaluate planned changes, and architect infrastructure blueprints.
• Build & Automate: Build and automate multi-Kubernetes environments, microservices, and internal infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Terragrunt, and Helm.
• Implement Security: Implement a security-first approach, integrating CI/CD pipelines (GitOps) and secure-by-design infrastructure.
• Drive AI Adoption: Drive the adoption of AI-driven solutions for automation, monitoring resilience, incident response, and threat intelligence.
• Oversee Security: Oversee modern cybersecurity solutions (SIEM, EDR, Firewalls) and application security frameworks.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Professional experience in DevOps, SecOps, or Infrastructure Engineering, including at least 3 years in a technical leadership or mentoring role.
• Experience: 5+ years of overall professional experience. Production experience with Kubernetes (GKE/EKS), Docker, Helm, major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), IaC tools like Terraform and Terragrunt, modern CI/CD methodologies, GitOps, and Linux-based infrastructure.
• Skills: Strong development experience in Python. Strong networking foundations (TCP/IP, DNS, Load-balancers). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Hebrew.
• Bonus: Experience securing AI/LLM pipelines or utilizing AI tools for automated operations. Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 for LLMs and writing security procedures, policies, and compliance frameworks.
