The Tone:
This is a Hybrid role at Zscaler, with team collaboration occurring in the Tel Aviv-Yafo office. Zscaler operates the world’s largest in-line cloud security platform, designed to accelerate digital transformation and protect customers from cyberattacks and data loss. The company is building an AI-native enterprise to amplify human potential in solving complex security challenges. This role is crucial for leading the development of the Zscaler SSPM product, encompassing both its Java backend business logic and its frontend user experience.

The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Location: Hybrid – Tel Aviv-Yafo
• Team: SSPM Engineering team, reporting to the Senior Manager, Software Development Engineering in the Zero Trust Exchange department.
• Mission: Lead development efforts for the Zscaler SSPM product, spanning its Java backend business logic and frontend.
• Tech Stack: ReactJS, HTTPS APIs, Java, Redux, JavaScript, TypeScript, AWS, Azure, GCP, Playwright automation

What You’ll Actually Do
• UI Development: Develop user interfaces using ReactJS and integrate them with HTTPS APIs provided by backend engineers.
• End-to-End Design: Participate in the complete design process, from initial concept to production, ensuring an understanding of both backend and frontend flows.
• UI Renovation: Renovate the existing user interface to standardize its look and feel with the new Zscaler user experience.
• Component Creation: Develop new React Components to enrich and expand the capabilities of the user interface.
• Technology Exploration: Dedicate time to stay updated with the latest front-end technologies and industry trends to recommend continuous improvements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Principal-level Front-End Engineer with extensive Java Backend experience, focused on developing products for large enterprise customers such as Fortune 500 companies.
• Experience: 10+ years of product development experience, including 5+ years in front-end development with React, Redux, JavaScript, and TypeScript, combined with an additional 5+ years working on backend services in Java. This includes experience in a SaaS environment and familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Skills: Capability to design and develop reusable code for UI components, supported by a strong understanding of modern front-end architecture and state management, alongside demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools for workflow enhancement.
• Bonus: Proactive use of AI technologies (such as LLMs and intelligent coding assistants) for frontend design prototyping, automated testing, and backend integration, a degree from a well-known university or experience in an IDF technology unit, and familiarity with the Cybersecurity field combined with Playwright automation.
