Key Responsibilities

• Design and Develop: Architect, design, and implement robust, scalable, and high-performance cloud platform services using modern programming languages (e.g., Go, Python, Java) and frameworks.
• System Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimize system resource utilization, and ensure the reliability and availability of critical cloud infrastructure.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, foster best practices in software development, and drive technical discussions and decision-making.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, SREs, and other engineering teams to define requirements, integrate solutions, and ensure seamless delivery of features.
• Operations & Support: Participate in on-call rotations, troubleshoot complex production issues, and contribute to post-mortem analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Innovation & Research: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluate new tools and frameworks, and propose innovative solutions to enhance our platform.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for designs, APIs, and operational procedures.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a significant focus on backend systems and distributed architectures.
• Proven expertise with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) and familiarity with their core services (compute, storage, networking, databases).
• Strong proficiency in Go, Python, or Java; experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with database technologies, both SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., Cassandra, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Preferred:

• Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with messaging queues and event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS).
• Prior experience working on large-scale distributed systems or cloud platform services.
• Contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of personal technical projects.
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
