About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining our next-generation platform. You will work within a cross-functional team, taking ownership of key features from conception through to production. This role involves tackling complex technical challenges, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to architectural discussions that shape the future of our product. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of robust, scalable, and high-performance software applications and services.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineering teams to define requirements, scope projects, and deliver exceptional solutions.
• Conduct thorough code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines.
• Serve as a technical mentor and coach for less experienced engineers, fostering their growth and skill development.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks, bugs, and other issues to ensure the reliability and stability of our systems.
• Contribute to the evolution of our system architecture, proposing and evaluating new technologies and approaches to enhance our platform.
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide support for critical production systems as needed.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging industry trends, technologies, and best practices, continuously seeking opportunities to innovate and improve our engineering processes.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.
• Strong proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, C#, or Node.js.
• Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles.
• Extensive experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and RESTful API design.
• Proven ability to design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure software applications.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), including agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) is a plus, but not required.
• Experience with message queues or streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Prior experience leading technical projects or initiatives.
