Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex software features and systems from conception to deployment, ensuring high quality and performance.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineers to define requirements, scope projects, and deliver innovative solutions that meet business needs.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in accordance with best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines.
• Conduct thorough code reviews, provide constructive feedback, mentor junior engineers, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions to ensure high availability and reliability of applications.
• Contribute to architectural discussions, evaluate new technologies, and make strategic technical decisions that shape the future of our platform.
• Optimize existing systems for performance, scalability, security, and reliability, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in on-call rotation as needed to support critical systems and ensure operational excellence.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong track record of delivering impactful projects.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, Java, Go, C#, or JavaScript (Node.js).
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design principles, and software design patterns.
• Extensive experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Solid experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) if full-stack development is part of your background.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Prior experience in a technical leadership, team lead, or mentorship role.
• Contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of personal projects.
• Experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
