The Tone:
This is a full-time Senior Manager role at TD Bank, located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. TD’s Private Wealth Management delivers integrated, advice-led wealth solutions for affluent and high-net-worth clients, families, businesses, and communities. Within this, Private Trust, operating through The Canada Trust Company, provides core fiduciary, estate, trust, and specialized planning solutions. Indigenous Trust Services is a strategic growth priority, supporting Indigenous Communities across Canada with responsible administration of settlement and resource funds, while coordinating comprehensive wealth, banking, and investment solutions aligned to their long-term goals.

• Pay: $115,600–$163,200 yearly
• Team: Reports to the AVP, Private Trust and Specialized Planning
• Mission: Lead the Indigenous Trust Services strategy, strengthen One TD partnerships, and ensure consistent execution of service, risk management, and operating standards nationally.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Partnership: Act as the lead Wealth partner for the VP, Indigenous Banking and other Indigenous Banking, Strategy, and Community teams across the enterprise to execute a “One TD” approach.
• Strategy Development: Formulate the Wealth Strategy, including Trust and Investment Management, in alignment with the Enterprise and Indigenous Banking strategy.
• Oversight and Governance: Provide oversight of risk, controls, and governance across Indigenous Trust Services files, ensuring consistent execution and adherence to Private Trust and enterprise risk standards.
• Business Development: Drive national business development by building a pipeline of opportunities and leading Request for Proposal (RFP) activities for Wealth, using a consistent “One TD” approach.
• Process Improvement: Create tools, policies, and processes to provide consistent and efficient delivery of service, such as standard templates for account reviews and improved client onboarding.

The Must-Haves
• Background: University education or equivalent, with Trust industry or equivalent experience (e.g., Trustee responsibilities).
• Experience: Lived experience as an Indigenous person and direct experience working with or within Indigenous Communities. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategy, manage initiatives, and work effectively across multiple departments.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational capabilities, collaborative problem-solving with exceptional critical-thinking skills, and comfort in delivering presentations. Demonstrated leadership through impact and influence, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Bonus: An MBA or related accreditation is an asset, as is investment understanding or experience.
