Senior Cloud Solutions Architect

Are you a visionary architect passionate about designing scalable, resilient, and secure cloud solutions? Tech Innovators Inc. is seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for defining the technical strategy, architecture, and implementation roadmaps for our cloud-native applications and infrastructure across multiple public cloud platforms. We’re looking for a leader who can bridge the gap between business requirements and technical execution, drive best practices, and mentor fellow engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and Design Cloud Solutions: Lead the design and development of highly available, scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures using AWS, Azure, or GCP services. Translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions and detailed design specifications.
• Technical Leadership & Strategy: Act as a subject matter expert and provide technical leadership for cloud adoption, migration strategies, and modernization efforts. Drive the selection of appropriate cloud technologies and services to meet strategic objectives.
• Governance & Best Practices: Define and enforce architectural standards, patterns, and best practices for cloud deployments, ensuring adherence to security, compliance, and operational excellence frameworks (e.g., Well-Architected Framework).
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with product management, development teams, operations, and security teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery. Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
• Cost Optimization & Performance: Continuously evaluate cloud resource utilization and performance, recommending and implementing optimizations for cost efficiency and enhanced application performance.
• Innovation & Research: Stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies, industry trends, and architectural patterns. Propose and prototype innovative solutions to solve complex business challenges.
• Documentation: Create comprehensive architectural diagrams, technical specifications, and documentation for designed solutions and processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience in software development, with at least 5 years specifically in cloud architecture and solution design on major public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Cloud Expertise: Proven hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions using a broad range of cloud services including compute (EC2, AKS, GKE), serverless (Lambda, Azure Functions), databases (RDS, DynamoDB, Cosmos DB), networking (VPC, VNet), security (IAM, Azure AD), and analytics.
• Architectural Patterns: Deep understanding of microservices architecture, event-driven architecture, API design, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Programming Skills: Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, Node.js) and scripting for automation.
• DevOps & IaC: Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager.
• Security: Solid understanding of cloud security best practices, identity and access management, data protection, and compliance frameworks.
• Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Multiple professional-level cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect).
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments and multi-cloud strategies.
• Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Hadoop) and data warehousing solutions.
• Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., FinTech, Healthcare).
• Prior experience in a consulting or client-facing architectural role.
