Actuarial Analyst III | TD Bank

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at TD Bank, located in Montréal, Quebec, Canada. This role is crucial for directing and performing advanced actuarial analysis, research, and validations, ensuring the bank’s financial structure is sound, and mitigating risk through data-driven insights. The Actuarial Analyst III will contribute to critical business decisions by providing clear, actionable actuarial insights to various stakeholders.

• Mission: Own and execute actuarial analysis, research, and validations to inform key business decisions and mitigate risk.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Direct: Direct and perform actuarial analysis, research, and validations, ensuring alignment with risk mitigation and business growth objectives.
• Develop: Develop and enhance monitoring reports, dashboards, and presentations to analyze long-tail claims experience, identify trends, and pinpoint areas for improvement.
• Govern: Develop and enhance functional procedures for actuarial soundness, ensuring the maintenance of controls, policies, and best practices.
• Project: Support the organization’s financial structure by completing financial projections and ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements.
• Communicate: Communicate complex actuarial ideas and work products to a broad range of stakeholders, and potentially provide day-to-day guidance to other team members.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or a related field, with in-depth knowledge of actuarial principles.
• Experience: 5+ years of actuarial experience, specifically within Property & Casualty insurance.
• Skills: Proficiency in programming languages, particularly Python and SQL.
• Bonus: Generally working towards a Fellowship (CAS or CIA) and knowledge of Power BI.
