Senior Accountant | Mytra
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Mytra, located in Brisbane, CA. Mytra is developing a new class of product for the material handling market, utilizing robotics and distributed software to address critical challenges in the supply chain industry. As a Senior Accountant, you will join the Finance team during a period of significant growth and transformation. Your contributions are vital to establishing reliable accounting processes, ensuring payroll accuracy, and strengthening the company’s financial foundation as it scales rapidly.

• Mission: Establish reliable accounting processes, ensure payroll accuracy, and strengthen the company’s financial foundation as it scales.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Payroll Processing: Own end-to-end payroll processing using Rippling, ensuring accurate and timely disbursements for all employees across pay cycles.
• Accounts Payable: Manage accounts payable operations, reviewing, coding, and processing invoices while maintaining vendor relationships and payment schedules.
• Month-end Close: Support month-end close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance in NetSuite.
• Process Improvement: Work cross-functionally with HR, Operations, and other functional department leads to implement and improve accounting processes as the company grows.
• Expense Monitoring: Monitor and reconcile company spend using Ramp, flagging discrepancies and ensuring expenses are properly categorized and approved.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Senior-level experience with full-cycle payroll processing, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting.
• Experience: Proven and extensive experience in a startup or high-growth company environment. Prior experience in a manufacturing or Hardware company with exposure to inventory accounting, 3-Way match, or cost of goods sold (COGS).
• Skills: Working knowledge of NetSuite, Rippling, and Ramp or similar ERP, payroll, and expense management platforms. Demonstrated collaborative, team-first mindset with confidence to ask questions. Self-motivated, takes ownership, and communicates clearly and proactively.
• Bonus: CPA certification or active pursuit. Experience helping build or formalize accounting processes from the ground up in an early-stage or high-growth company. Familiarity with California wage & hour regulations and payroll compliance requirements. Experience with Rippling, ADP or similar HRIS system.
