Seasonal DC Stock Associate | GPC

The Tone:
This is a seasonal role with both full-time and part-time shifts available at GPC’s Distribution Center. GPC operates a distribution network responsible for moving merchandise to stores and customers. This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of inbound freight and fulfilling orders, directly supporting GPC’s operational success and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Freight Processing: Accurately unload inbound freight to support efficient distribution center operations.
• Merchandise Handling: Utilize a radio frequency (RF) scanning device to locate, select, and process merchandise for shipment.
• Stocking & Organization: Perform case opening procedures, including scanning boxes and placing products on designated shelves.
• Order Fulfillment: Efficiently pack and prepare merchandise for shipment, fulfilling orders for both stores and customers.
• Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment by adhering to all company and OSHA safety procedures.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates must be 16 years of age or older, eager to learn new tasks and processes.
• Experience: No prior experience is required for this role.
• Skills: Ability to accurately operate an RF scanning device; strong commitment to safety protocols and maintaining a clean, organized work area; capacity for accurate work and efficient performance in a fast-paced environment; foundational abilities in reading, writing, and business-related mathematics; demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and contribute positively within a team.
