The Tone:
This is an internship at Saltmarsh, located in Tampa, Orlando, or Pensacola, FL. Saltmarsh offers a real-world look into public accounting, aiming to bridge education with practical experience. This role provides hands-on learning, personalized mentorship, and ongoing feedback, all designed to support the intern’s growth and success within the accounting field. You will gain exposure to the public accounting environment, directly contributing to client work and firm initiatives.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Receive comprehensive training on our proprietary software and internal processes.
• Engage in a mix of direct client work and various engaging projects.
• Participate in opportunities for team-building, community involvement, and professional development.
• Contribute to tax season activities during the Spring program or assist with audit-related tasks during the Fall program.
• Apply learned knowledge and skills from one project to the next, fostering continuous growth and understanding.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, seeking an Early Career internship experience within public accounting.
• Experience: No specific prior professional experience required, as this program is designed for hands-on learning and development.
• Skills: Foundational understanding of basic accounting principles; Eagerness to learn and adapt to new software and firm processes; Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work.
• Bonus: Eligibility to receive college credit for the internship; Availability to commit 24+ hours per week for the Spring Tax Internship.
