Sales And Leadership Trainee | Hajoca Corporation
The Tone:
This is a multi-year rotational program for a Sales and Leadership Trainee, located in Norcross, GA. Hajoca Corporation is one of the country’s largest privately-held wholesale distributors of plumbing, heating & cooling, and industrial supplies, founded in 1858. This role is a significant investment in the trainee’s future, providing comprehensive exposure to all aspects of the business. The individual in this position will be guided through various phases of learning, ultimately leading to a long-term career path in sales, operations, or management.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Perform warehouse operations: Execute tasks related to receiving, shipping, processing returns, making deliveries, and maintaining proper truck function.
• Engage in counter sales: Assist customers and teammates, process sales orders, provide reliable product information, and maintain the display area for residential, commercial, and repair contractors.
• Support sales activities: Manage tasks such as pricing, margin, bids, quotes, product procurement, and job scheduling, including participation in joint sales calls.
• Plan career trajectory: Participate in in-depth career discussions with the assigned Profit Center Manager to explore and pursue long-term business interests.
The Must-Haves
• Background: College degree or equivalent experience. This is an entry-level trainee program.
• Experience: Experience in customer service, sales, management, or leadership roles. Must be at least 18 years old, possess a proper and valid driver’s license, and have a driving record meeting company criteria for an Authorized Driver.
• Skills: Excellent communication and listening skills, ability to persuade, adaptability to changes, high level of accuracy and attention to detail, ability to prioritize and multi-task, ability to learn and operate applicable software systems, awareness of personal strengths and areas for improvement, ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide), and proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Bonus: Ability to build influential relationships and trust with customers and key vendor partners, inspire teamwork with co-workers, quickly gain knowledge of products sold in the Profit Center, and learn to safely operate warehouse material-handling equipment.
